Financial encouragement to spur on young accountants

The Hunter TAFE Foundation presented the 2017 Semester One Scholarship recipients on Thursday 11 May at the Hunter Valley Hotel Academy, TAFE NSW Kurri Kurri campus. Among the 24 students to be awarded included Jessica Heemskerk and Kristiana Gorgievski, who were presented the Bean Counters Pathway Scholarship and Bean Counters ADA Scholarship respectively.

Jessica is currently enrolled in Certificate IV in Accounting, and upon completion plans on commencing an Associate Degree in Accounting as a pathway into University. Her long-term goal is to complete a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting which would allow her to pursue a career as an accountant or financial manager.

Kristiana has always aspired to pursue a career in accounting and is now enrolled in the Associate Degree of Accounting at TAFE NSW Newcastle and is well on her way to achieving her dreams.
