The Bean Counters Ball is back for 2027, bringing together the Hunter’s accounting, finance and business community for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, celebration and giving back. This year, we’re rolling out the gold for a very special cause, raising funds for Camp Quality and helping children and families affected by cancer across the Hunter and Northern NSW.
The event is a joint initiative between local members of Charted Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and CPA Australia who form a committee to organise and run the event. Every year a new committee is formed, with a mix of members from various industries including accounting, law, finance, real estate, education and more.
The event is the biggest night in the accounting social calendar and always guarantees an epic evening of laughs, entertainment and networking – all for a good cause!
Helping local kids and families find joy through tough times.
In 2027, we’re proud to partner with Camp Quality, an organisation dedicated to supporting children and families affected by cancer.
Through camps, fun days and shared experiences, Camp Quality helps families reconnect, build confidence and create positive memories during some of life’s most challenging times.
In 2026, 345 families in the Newcastle and Hunter region were registered with Camp Quality, highlighting the importance of these programs in our own community.
Funds raised through the 2027 Bean Counters Ball will directly support Camp Quality’s programs across the Hunter and Northern NSW.
The 2025 Bean Counters Ball was held on Saturday 25 October 2025 at the Newcastle Exhibition and Convention Centre (NEX).
With over 300 guests in attendance, The Garden Party brought together the Hunter’s accounting, finance and business community for an evening of entertainment, fundraising and celebration.
Guests enjoyed a garden party-inspired evening, complete with a three-course dinner and fundraising activities, all in support of our charity partners, Samaritans Youth Accommodation and the Hunter TAFE Foundation.
Funds raised supported safe accommodation for vulnerable young people in Newcastle and Maitland, as well as scholarships to help Hunter TAFE students overcome financial barriers to education.
